Local schools will be taking field trips to the festival
grounds to learn about Catoosa County during the Civil War.


October 3, 2009

Festival Grounds Open at 9:00 a.m.

10:00 a.m. Unveiling Ceremony
                  General Patrick Cleburne Statue
                  Ringgold Confederate Park, Hwy. 41

(Shuttles will be provided from the festival grounds to the ceremony.)

Art Exhibition at the Ringgold Depot
10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

SHUTTLES WILL BE PROVIDED FROM THE FESTIVAL GROUNDS ON ROBIN ROAD TO THE STATUE SITE AND TO THE DEPOT IN DOWNTOWN RINGGOLD.

Living History Experience Camp Provided by Hardee Guard Battalion.

Static Living History all afternoon. Camps open to public day and evening.

11:30 am - 5:00 pm Unit and First Person Impressions Confederate Camps.

12:00 Noon - 5:30 pm. Roving and static music, period songs and tunes of the Civil War.

12:00 Noon - 1:00pm.  In Confederate Camp Join the Army! Kids and Adults for some fun drill and learn about the average soldier. Individual Units, School of the Soldier.

12:30 pm - 1:00pm. Artillery Demonstration

1:00 - 2:00 pm. Drill Demonstration, School of the Company. Various units Hardee’s Guard Battalion.

1:30 pm - 2:00pm Speaker, Stephen McKinney, (General and Historian) and Staff, on functions of brigade and staff positions in the field.

2:30 pm - 3:00pm. Artillery Demonstration

3:00 pm - 4:00pm. Drill Demonstration, School of the Battalion.

5:00 pm - 5:30 pm. Artillery Demonstration.

5:30 pm - Guard & Picket Details
